"Who Will Become Australia's First Chief Cushiness Officer? The National Search Begins!"

A national search has officially been launched for Australia’s first chief cushiness officer.

Temple & Webster  head of design and product Roger Wei is on a mission “If you know your feather from your foam and have a passion for plushness, we want you to apply for the role of Australia’s first Chief Cushiness Officer”

The successful candidate will not only get the coolest job title in the world, they will also earn $20,000 for 20 days of work. 

So what is the “work” involved? The candidate must test the couches by binge-watching TV, eating food, gaming and scrolling social media.

And it gets better, Temple & Webster are all about flexibility - which is why these 20 days can be spread out over 6 months.

It all sounds a bit too good to be true, but as their advertisement said “this position is very real and very comfortable”.  

The aspiring Chief Cushiness Officer can apply for the job by submitting a 30-second video explaining their criteria and techniques for how they would assess the Cushiness of a couch.
